don't let the winter kill...

So it's December, 17 days before christmas and the cold is really starting to kick in. Hey, i mean who cares? I mean wrap up warm, you know: gloves, scarves, hats, coats, leg warmers, etc and get out there and see your friends, have a snowball fight or just generally f*ck around. :)

For a traceur, however, this can be diabolical. The ice, the wet, the cold can all add to not a very merry practitioner.

Okay, so what can we do? Well i myself have been training despite the weather, i've survived my fair share and feel really unscaved by the problems. There are many, however, who are more reluctant to get out there bright and early (well maybe not so bright) and jump around. It is difficult, your fingers are freezing, your tired, the heat is nowhere to be found. You may be able to get away with one sunny day a week during winter but is that really enough? No. of course not!

So don't think of it as a jam, think of it as a wet training session or something along those lines, don't worry about not getting better, just drill simple movements to avoid slippage, and condition so that when the summer does come you'll be thankful :)

Keep it up,
don't get hurt,
and have a very merry christmas.
