Summer's not far away now.

Great session yesterday. Sunny, warm and some of the nicest people. What could be better?
I headed up to the regular meeting spot (alban arena) at about 12, getting off a bit later than usual. When I got there I warmed up and almost instantly started working on a wall scale of a wall about 12ft, almost double my height, which I had done the day before. After a few trys I was solidly getting it again and felt really happy. RichJ of www.hertsparkour.co.uk had come to visit before he went back to Leeds Uni, to train with us. I've always found training with Rich always makes me progress alot more than usual and that along with the weather and other practitioners made for a very great attitude. After a while we headed down to Wagamamas training spot and worked on some simple movements and then I went and looked at something I had been aiming to do for a while. An armjump up to grey wall, over a walkway. The run up was a flimsy roof with skylights scattered here and there that you would have to dodge around to get to the take off (a slight step up). But after talking to Rich about it, he was saying how I shouldn't keep looking at it and just trust that it isn't as high or as hard as you think, once you take off your basically already level with it, you just have to land on the wall. I took his advice and just stepped back to the beginning of the run-up, after a few moments I was hanging from the grey wall, adrenaline pumping as I flicked-up to the top of the wall and over to a roof garden and down to do it a further four times. I felt so good after that because I realised all i really needed to commit to that movement was someone to explain it and to say that really you shouldn't SYKE yourself out too much about it and just trust yourself to make it if you believe it is within your limits.

Great session, would like to thank-
